WIRO, PERFECT AND BOOK BINDING

CASE & PERFECT BINDING 

Perfect binding is when printed sections of a book are glued together along the spine, just like some of the books you may have at home! Or you can take it one step further and have case binding, multiple perfect bound segments carefully sewn together with fine thread. Leather or faux leather is then wrapped over a thick grey board, with the ends mitered and neatly folded over. End papers are then carefully applied over the inside of both the front and back covers to hide all the inner folds. The book binding process is slower but we believe it is always worth the wait!

SPIRAL BINDING 

Spiral binding is simply a plastic spiral coil going through a series of punched holes down one edge of a collection of pages. This process enables the user to open each page all the way round and even fold flat on itself. The spirals come in a range of colours. This technique is used mainly for notepads & handbooks

WIRO BINDING 

A better looking and a more robust version of spiral binding, wiro binding is a continuous metal wire which weaves down the spine in an up across, down across fashion and then gets clamped in to place. The added bonus of wiro binding over spiral binding is the pages can spin all the way to the back and still fit perfectly into place. A calendar is the best example but it’s also used for many things like handbooks and manuals too.
